Talks between WWE and MJF have gone sour after HHH took over. Basically, all the good things that Cody said about him went out the window when HHH got into contact with his ex NXT guys and heard how MJF treated them. Things like adding an obscene amount of sugar to Kyle Oreilly's foods and drinks, taking Keith Lee, Emi Sakurai, and Eddie Kingston's plates of food and insisting that Adam Cole eat it, and constantly calling Keith Lee "Top Dolla" and asking him "how his sneaker collection was going" whenever he was hanging around with Swerve, were all seen as negative aspects that HHH didn't want in his version of WWE.
