Maybe but wouldn't it be better if he went overseas instead of going to a rival promotion like Noah or revealing more things to the press? if AEW took care of him it could possibly build more trust with New Japan just as DDT let their ace go there for a whole year

Ibushi is legit one of the only free spirits in wrestling. He came from a rich family and does it because he loves it. He doesn't care if he's sawdusting his neck or getting hit with fireworks in front of 10 people as long as he enjoys it

Times have changed. It's clear that there's a current hard limit on everyone's trajectory in New Japan, and they have to wait until new hot talent come up or get signed, and it's not happening soon, plus business is not bad but it's not super hot like it once was. They got a taste of AEW and while there was a big crowd which they were over with, it doesn't do much for their profile.
HHH already has the biggest (modern) possible female stars you could have in Japan, if he gets someone like Okada to make the switch then all the tables will turn. Again, before the poodemic WWE was fucked in Japan, but now they have a chance if they can get top male talent.

I think 'bros' is a very strong term, as Kenny has said on multiple occasions that they were never really close and never hung out. Friendly in regards to work seems more accurate.

Strangely it seems true that Cody and Kenny have some kind good relationship despite everything that happened. Kenny also didn't seem to mind mentioning Cody was still in the game, and kind of kayfabed Meltzer about Cody maybe being on a plane to Saudi. It came off jokingly but also kind of throws people off the trail of the actual plans of what was going down.
