>>6772352Because everyone's seen a moonsault before and you have other guys running around doing 630 sentons. I agree that some moves just look way too convoluted like the One Winged Angel. The delivery is good but takes him ages to set it up and it's just weird looking. If you're going to do a "basic" move as a finisher it either needs to be a particularly badass looking version of that move or it has to be heavily protected. I mean Misawa would end matches with forearm blows to the face sometimes but it looked stiff as fuck so it was believable, and Chris Masters' Masterlock was a great example of how to protect a fairly basic submission finisher (before they fucked it up anyway).
Personally I think more wrestlers should used combo moves as their finish. Samoa Joe's powerbomb into STF/boston crab is based as fuck, even though I can't remember seeing him finish anyone with it.
