What Tony Khan was talking about, in that article, was how a match did in fact do over a million viewers, when people thought that it didn't, due to multiple commercial breaks in it. Tony Khan's point was that commercial breaks bring down the average, which is literally the opposite of the standard this board is talking about when they bring up a million viewers. Tony Khan's comment has nothing to do with what this board considers to be a million viewers.
Also, if this mattered because Tony Khan was acknowledging it, then why do other metrics Khan talks about far more often, like AEW's performance in the 18-49, both overall and relatively to the rest of the programming for that night, not matter at all and are often treated as simple excuses and diversions, compared to this other thing that he talked about one time?
