Many reasons
1) Honeymoon period is over for him, some of the luster is lost, makes him fairer
2) As the other anon said, he has pretty much no influence in anything that happens there, he always comes up with these ideas and no one listens to him. And he did come across as if he thought he'd be able to influence stuff
3) AEW is just not as good as it once was. There's a lot more great guys in it, but the actual density of them is lower than ever. Too many ex-WWE guys. Too much fat. Things getting rushed nonstop with no space to breathe. It genuinely starts resembling late WCW in some aspects.

I purposefully said "In some aspects" for a reason. Namely how rushed the shows can feel like it's Eric Bischoff booking them like a spaz. And the MJF pipebomb did have late WCW aspects to it as well. Then again, so did the CM Punk pipebomb, but that's another matter. It's obviously nowhere near close being late WCW overall.
