Probably not, I was thinking more like Punk and whoever he haas hanging around him (most likely Wardlow and FTR) vs a heel Blackpool Combat Club. I honestly could kind of see MJF going with the Blackpool Combat Club, it was said that he was bummed out by the smark fans not liking his wrestling matches. Putting him with guys that mainly just like to wrestle could help remedy that.

His wrestling style is character based instead of spot based. Which you don't really see a lot of nowadays, especially from younger wrestlers. Darby Allin is one of the few that meshes the spots well with the character work

It's why him and Darby get over with me. Actually, most wrestlers that get over with me do that sort of thing. The character, promos, psychology, etc. all align. Even when they do a spot, it makes sense for that particular guy to do that particular spot.

GCW has gone super downhill. Brett managed to either alienate or blacklist like 75% of their death match guys, and then made the focus of GCW the shitty parts of early GCW that stuck out like a sore thumb.
