>>6792625I think there would have been real heat between him and Stone Cold and their friendship would have been strained for that spot. If Vince let Pillman hit that sweet spot that he had in his ECW appearances and started to really get over and getting nuclear heat like he had with ECW. Part of the whole thing with the Gun was Pillman trying to get his heat back after basically get buried. He got a mega pop his first Raw back, cut a 15 minute boring ass promo setting himself up as the savior of WWF and getting on his knees asking everyone to pray with him, there were signs that night that said Pillman is God years before I ever saw a Foley is God sign, but 3 or 4 minutes in he lost the crowd and he just seemed to have go away heat and was boring even the people that wanted him there. Austin came out to a earth shaking pop and then he got put with the Harts, repeatedly jobbed, Austin put his head in the toilet it just seemed like he was getting buried. Had they booked it right and he avoided the politics assuming everything went the same (Brett leaving, Shawn stepping away etc.) I think he would have been in the main event. The Rock was still in the Midcard and so was Triple H, Owen. I don’t see exactly who he would have feuded with besides Austin but it seemed like it was Austin/Vince and Austin/Undertaker/Kane for a solid year before Austin went out.
