The internet has completely killed people’s comprehension of numbers. It is like people can only register that <1 million = “small”, >1 million = famous. This doesn’t apply to just wrestling and the /pw/ console war either, you’ll see the same metrics across all media including YouTubers thinking they’ll fail unless they can hit a million likes per video.
1,000,000 is just an arbitrary round number at the end of the day, measures success entirely on 1M. Something could reach 999,999 and people would still call it a failure.
