>>6802485keep in mind, I haven't played it in nearly a decade
every match feels the same, it doesn't matter if you're playing BEEG or Rey, it always plays out the same way. it doesn't feel like you can do anything interesting. I'll give it credit, from what I remember the moves themselves felt good, and I think they still had the thing where each move had an option to pin or not, which was also cool. this was also probably the game that let you make entrance videos for CAWs, which was incredibly cool.
the major sticking point in my head, the thing that really made me abandon the franchise, was that there aren't 2 counts. the CPU either kicks out at 1 or gets pinned for 3. I put dozens of hours, probably over one hundred, into the game, played hundreds of matches, and can count the number of 2 counts on one hand. the community found work arounds to "maximize" the number of 2-counts. THQ's response was to say that the game only having 1-counts wasn't a bug, it was a feature designed to make gameplay feel faster and more lifelike. that's not a joke, that's what they said. it may seem minor to someone outside the wrestling world, but that detail caused me to lose all faith that any future game would be done well.
