Legitimate answer.
Yeah, WWE has been declining over the years, can't deny it, but after looking at all these TV charts, what the fuck is drawing that 3 million range? News shows like Tucker/Rachel Maddow that Conservaschizos and Demicucks stay glued to get their political opinions, not to mention the rest of America that still puts on the news as the default for something to put on during dinner or night. Major League sports hit those big 4-7 million numbers, but only really during those handful of weeks out of 52 in a year for anticipated game or playoff/finals, and that entire stretch of the year when they just aren't on TV. And then of course every couple of years you got a big show like 30 Day Fiance or something. Practically nothing else on those charts is drawing 2 million, let alone 3, and a majority of shows nowadays are pissant sub 1 million. WWE draws at minimum 1.5-2 million twice a week, every week for the entire year, every year. Yeah wrestling is niche, it isn't a mainstream appeal program and hasn't it been since the Attitude Era ended and barring the second coming of a Stone Cold/rock level Megastar it probably never will again. But it has consistently high week to week viewership that moga pretty much everything else outside of those aforementioned groups.
Meanwhile, AEW is in that pissant sub 1 million tier with a gorillion other shows that no one really gives a shit about, and its audience is entirely dependent on how long the most niche of niche smarks want to see flippy, indie shit.
