>>6812692This is another part of it. Itoh was at her hottest going into 2019 and yeah she had a bad match with Miyu but then Koda spent most of the rest of the year continuing to book her as someone who can, at best, get fluke wins and it basically destroyed all the momentum she had.
Raku in 2019/early 2020 was another. I know retards will say "lol Raku" but she had the best actual story in the company (better than the Misao one) with her growth and trying to get her first win, and got probably as over as anyone in TJPW because of it. So what happened? She loses a tag match and then it's back to doing comedy matches at the bottom of the card and eating pins and wouldn't you know it, her momentum cooled.
Mizuki got kneecapped hard by losing to Yuka and really losing every challenge. She's not quite in the same state as others but her momentum isn't what it was in 2020.
You know, based on these patterns, that the same thing is going to happen to Miu. She'll be back to dicking around doing nothing of consequence in midcard, eating pins to her senpai, including the likes of Kamiyu, because she's "still young" even though she'll be entering her fifth year as a wrestler next year. Even just beating Shoko and Miyu in succession is a big deal and it'll be absolutely squandered. The only thing to really do to salvage it would be to strip the IP belt from Windsor since she's injured, have her win a tournament for it and give her a dominant reign. 9-12 months, a good amount of defenses with a few of them being against outside wrestlers if they can swing it (someone like Ibuki Hoshi). That'd help keep her credible AND help make the IP belt seem important. But we know something like that won't happen. It'll be back to business as usual, Miu's victories being just odd blips.
