They should do the whole Canadian flag thing but instead of saying Bret joined the NWO they should say a special person has joined NWO. And then you heavily hint that it's Bret Hart.
Then have him debut in Starcade as a special guest and have Mean Gene interview him. And during the interview have him ask if Bret really is part of the NWO and Bret refuses to answer that question.
Then have Bret just sit in the timekeepers table and have him be friendly whenever an NWO guy makes his entrance and is near him.
Then during Sting and Hogan match instead of doing a fast count Hulk should put him in the Skorpion deathlock. And just like in Montreal have Nick ring the bell even though Sting didn't tap out. After this Bret stands up says not again. Pushes Nick Patrick out and takes off his jacket to reveal a referee shirt. And the match is restarted and Sting wins.
After Sting wins have Bret hand him in the title but the whole time they should have a staredown to get fans anticipating a match between the two.
