He was so underrated that there was some over correction and he became overrated. Doesn't help that people pretend him having to so his shtick to an unathletic Misawa cosplaying fatass was le ultra based match. But put him against an actual based wrestler and he very rarely fails to deliver. Today was more evidence of that.

Ishii is one of those wrestlers who has become too wrapped up in his particular style. His matches get tiring from being so copy-and-pasted. There's better 'strong style' wrestlers than Ishii in every puro promotion.
