Blackman, Shamrock and Severn were major reason why I got back into wrestling. That combined with swearing and weapons/blood make me think 'holy shit wrestling is kinda semi real now' as i hadn't seen it since like 93

Steve motherfucking Blackman.
He's the kinda guy who made seeking out professionals from other sports to come and wrestle extremely desirable.
Probably was the catalyst for it.
His work looked shoot enough to not be a work, while being a work... eventually. Especially in his early wrestling days.
