I would like to say next year but at this point it's pretty much a dead end at least Naito had his arc complete by beating okada at the dome for the double titles and got revenge on little shitty kenta which in hindsight was the ending point of golden new Japan that started with tana in 2011

I think there's a strong possibility Ospreay wins tomorrow and announces he's challenging Jay at Royal Quest instead of WK (makes the most sense for Ospreay to headline the UK show). However they choose whoever gets to challenge at WK I think it will be portrayed as Naito's absolute last chance, and he'll pull through with his back against the wall and get the roll call.
