Titles don't gain value by being defended against nobodies in matches without builds. They gain value by having big stars fight for them in big matches with programs attached to them.
And AEW is going out of their way to make the title mean even less by not featuring the matches on TV as they relegate those matches to Dark or Elevation, which nobody sees.
