I think the rules are too different, I think it's too hard for people to figure out who is who and I really don't think it's that good as a whole. CMLL just throws random people out on shows without angles. AAA has so much nonsense with intergender wrestling and hardcore wrestling on top of having a lot of wrestlers who just don't come across as big time stars.
AAA has a particularly weird set-up as they air shows on tape delay on youtube/twitch for English audiences. AAA doesn't own any arenas or even really run house shows, they just have TV tapings. A lot of their shows recycle footage from bigger shows that we usually have access to, so there's no reason to watch it since we already saw it. They also have a weird habit of featuring a lot of wrestlers on their tv shows who usually aren't in big matches on the bigger shows.
