>>6866796>>6866850>>6866863the biggest issue is that Miz is a corporate guy. he'll do what the company asks. if they need him to do a press tour after three weeks on the road he'll do it with a smile. and if they need him to be a jobber he'll do that, too. it's one of the reasons he's been there so long - he's reliable, he's safe, and he does what's asked of him with minimal fuss. Punk could never be that and it drives him up a fucking wall that someone could do what WWE wants, even if it's stupid as hell, and try to get it over to the best of his ability.
Miz has looked like a total fool because of going along with what WWE/Vince wants. he's also a multi-millionaire with a stunning wife and two beautiful children. Miz is the epitome of not being a mark for yourself and still managing to find great success despite being an average to subpar wrestler. Ziggler is roughly the same. he stopped being a mark for himself a long time ago and now he makes millions a year to make new guys look good. Punk's ego would never let him settle for what Vince saw him as - a strong upper midcard heel who could be slotted in to dance with the big stars (ironically, this was HHH's position before all the stars left).
