What they wanted to do with the show was on their twitter pages but several years ago they (plus plenty of people from other cartoons) all deleted their pages, including Sam Marin who re-opened his a couple of years ago.
Close Enough was probably the result of too many quotas that Quintel had to follow for that show to be made into a series.
