The goal should be informing the youth and letting them know certain things they may feel are okay, not to pressure them into feeling said things.

Are gays a more promiscuous bunch than straights? Not really. The place promiscuity takes in the culture is a direct form of rebellion and backlash against the social pressure they received throughout the later half of the 20th century especially. It was wild, bold, and made for excellent tabloid, but it was not indicative of the whole community.
