Why isn't wrestling more mainstream and popular if both the WWE AND gAyEW consistently get #1 in TV demo ratings and are generally in the upper echelon of viewers? Hell even shit like Impact gets a respectable amount of viewership

WWE is mainstream even if it isn't popular. Most people know what it is even if they don't watch it or know who any of the current wrestlers are. They are still aware it exists. The same can't be said for AEW.

Wrestling is mainstream but not really. It still has a tangible fanbase but is a shadow of its former self. You gotta also realize that anime is mainstream and plenty of people think that’s gay too.
