You have to remember that people in that age range who aren't wrestling nerds have a specific view of wrestling and its John Cena and Roman Reigns. Simple charismatic characters.
When they're told that Omega is the best in the world, they see a guy who isn't as charismatic or larger than life such as the WWE guys and the BITW tag doesn't ring true.
Most people don't care about the Meltzer style workmate matches, they want characters who work matches that has character spots that inform the story. Omega isn't that. He can't work a Hogan or Cena style match and ultimately that's what draws the major money.
It's just a different style, not everybody hasto appeal to everyone
