>>6907857>>6907857> Going over a million and doing well in ratings is not an exception for any show that is successful. Which Fixer Upper is.Yeah, except the same quote said LITERALLY that it shattered the records of existing shows and they ended up in the third spot that night, just below news shows. Which also means the demo was incredibly high (which is also mentioned in the article).
> You're literally using a show with a sub million viewership as a barometer for all of cable. Sad.I'm using the wrestling related show not as a barometer for cable, but as a barometer against itself. Whether you like it or not, Nielsen Ratings are what these T.V. companies care about, both in demo and overall viewvership. There are non-wrestling related articles about this everywhere if you want to look up for them.
AEW isn't really high up there in terms of overall viewership, but they certainly are at demo, and that's the reason they end up high up there in cable ratings, and this isn't propaganda for AEW, it's just the facts about their viewership is and why the executives might value AEW.
This also answers most of the second part of your comment with the exception of...
> I really wouldnt be shocked to see Fixer Upper in AEW's timeslot, and I'd be less shocked to see it go over a million each time. What's its current slot? If it is better than AEW's and it is already drawing big numbers, they probably wouldn't see a reason to move it. But we will have to wait and see.
