He left WWE when they didn't see him as a main eventer and ledt AEW as Tony didn't see him as big as fucking Jericho(in 2021 that is).

He was overshadowed in AEW. He went from being a medium fish in a small pond and when Phil and Bryan came in he was just another guy. Then he went to WWE where there has only been Drew, Roman and Seth for the past 5 years and instantly looked like a bigger deal by virtue of not just jobbing out and going 50/50 off the bat.
