They wanted to make sure that he didn’t get there and he was smart enough to see that it happened. When he got to where he was a really big star, he didn’t want to work with him.”
Meltzer also revealed how Michaels was trying to get Mick Foley to take Rock’s place in the WrestleMania 15 match against Steve Austin. And it was not because they wanted Foley to succeed, it was pretty much only because they didn’t want The Rock in that match.
