Cole loses to cassidy and gets 3 straight shots at the champion. Handwaved with muh unsanctioned. All the while punk is being treated like fucking hogan the entire time. World title stops meaning anything, then you inject all the shitty ROH belts no one cares about to muddle things up worse. Punk finally wins the belt and it looks like they're about to start treating the title seriously again and he gets injured. Everything gets dropped and they rush together forbidden door with none of the stars people actually wanted to see on the card besides Okada. (granted the show did turn out good). It's just too much all at once on top Cole being a completely heatless challenger in a feud for the belt that went on way too long and all the injuries hitting at once as well
