there is no evidence a "promise" was made to anyone regarding an immediate third match between the young bucks and ftr. it's also confusing as to why the only drawing match ftr could have is with the young bucks. aren't they able to draw wrestling anyone else?

your commentaries regarding cody are absolutely pure headcanon. there is no record of who did or did not go to bat for anyone. ergo you're a fanfiction writer. there is agreement on all sides that cody was offered a renewed contract, though cody felt that was insufficient because it wasn't comparable to cm punk's deal.

The only thing Cody had done with the Elite was take on Meltzer's bet for All In, other than that he would have been still trying to build up clout on the Indies awhile longer had it not been for Steen hitting up the Bucks to take care of him. Cody's a solid wrestler, nothing flashy but decent and would have been huge had he not been so stubborn in wanting to be like his father in the books and not book his stuff to feel like it was on a different program in AEW. Cody was only looking to get back into WWE from the beginning, he wanted to prove to Vince and Triple H that he was a main event attraction and could carry the belt, which in a lot of ways he did but proving himself to be a smart business man by hitching himself to the hottest act in wrestling, and using that momentum to help launch his brand, getting involved with Warner in doing his shows.
