It’s going to be the start of a massive company-wide storyline where everyone has to pick a side. Tony saw that “leaking” Punk’s return a year ago drew huge numbers so he’s trying to do the same thing by having Meltzer and other journalists report on “friction” in the locker room. It’s all smoke and mirrors to work the smarks. Hangman and Punk and totally cool with each other, but they have to put on airs when it comes to social media, etc. Tony compared it to Bret and Owen working everyone when they were feuding.
