He's referenced the beginning of the Ricochet match with OC and tonight bc that's the only thing most AEW fans remember, when he doesn't do that in Japan anymore. His selling is more comical in his AEW matches, and while he'll still pull out the really fast choreographed sequences in Japan (particularly against Shingo) they are at least reasonably coherent as a set of moves and reversals.
His worst impulses still sometimes appear, and I'm not saying he works like Billy Robinson now but to people who think post-clue Ospreay is a myth I would recommend his match with Ibushi last year, even against the other most flippy heavyweight in the company he went (I think) the entire first half of the match without any dives or flips.
