The weight issue is only aspect of the problem. What really gets vets like Danielson, Punk, and Claudio upset is Eddie's inescapable ability to always fuck things up for himself. Chris Hero has outright said that Eddie is the biggest waste of talent he's ever seen, and its all because of his constant self-sabotaging. Kingston is right up there with Low-Ki when it comes to wrestlers who've been fired from nearly every promotion they've ever worked for. Unlike Ki however Eddie surprisingly manages to remains well liked by most folks in the industry. Everyone wants to see him succeed, but no matter how hard he tries he just can't escape his impulsive nature.
