The CF sub service does well enough for them to often do English commentary. The extra revenue might look small compared to AEW and WWE but means way more to these smaller feds.
Also the outside work allows talent to get extra revenue so it keeps them happier and can offset their own budgets.
People good as Take, Kenny and Ibushi are going to leave but if they keep good relations with AEW at least they can still get them back sometimes as well as having a platform to promote themselves in the US with a partner.
If AEW didn't exist Kenny, Ibushi and Take would all be in WWE right now.
