Brock Lesnar is a fierce beast. Just looking at his UFC matches or him cracking open Randy Orton’s skull is enough to justify his title. The man has been successful in two of the biggest sports entertainment companies. His presence has become a pop culture-worthy moment as well. As he keeps everything private, it is very easy for rumors surrounding him to float in the public.
This is the same thing that happened with former WWE superstar Ryback. The man who would bring a storm to the WWE in late 2012 was being antagonized backstage because of his massive push. There needed to be a way through which his momentum could stop. While it would eventually happen after his match with CM Punk, WWE sow the seeds long before that.
There was a report that came out in 2012 detailing a brawl between Ryback and Brock Lesnar. Starting with a little pushback from both men, they reported that Lesnar hit the ‘Feed Me More’ guy three times in the face, which caused him an injury. This took the star out of the Raw that week.
When asked about this supposed altercation, Ryback said, “It was done to try to hurt my credibility with the fans that, ‘Big bad Ryback isn’t so big, bad and tough.’ That altercation never even happened. I and Brock get along great. I got hit in my eye by Haku’s kid Donny Marlow [Camacho], as I know him as in Florida Championship Wrestling,”
Just a few weeks later, WWE would entirely pull the plug off the big guy. Losing to CM Punk in the Hell in a Cell match put one of the major setbacks to his career. Even his feud with the Shield didn’t lead to anything larger. The only thing that made him look big after Punk was his feud with Mark Henry.
