Ecw was doomed to fail and part of that was his horrible money managing skills. His 2000s era of smackdown was probably the most consistently good a weekly wrestling show has ever been, but we saw how mediocre and average the product can be under him when not having world class performers like when he was in charge of raw or smackdown a few years ago. Without people like angle, brock, eddie, benoit, edge, jericho, etc, he can’t really “make” new stars or build a good show.
