I don't know what cheesy tricks, if any of them even exist, there are for overcoming handicaps in the Acclaim games. The engine might be so fundamentally flawed that it's practically impossible.
Try looking at GameFAQs and see if you can find some 20 year old strategy guide some autist made. That's your best bet. But info on Attitude can be scarce. I remember coming across some old Geocities site that had a list of all the grapple moves that can be reversed in this game, but I can't find it anymore. Now it remains a mystery.
