Even fuckin radio was still producing compelling content. Video stores were in every town and they offered decades worth of films under one roof. You could also rent shit tons of video games from them. Technology simply consolidated all of these offerings. If something is good, people will watch it. Wrestling fucking sucks, so no one watches it. Simple as that.
