>>7026524here are some fine examples of 5 star matches that most people that witnessed them would rate recently
Cody Rhodes vs Seth Rollins Hell in a Cell
Anarchy in the Arena match at Double or Nothing
in one case, the babyface through all possible odds gets the hard fought win, and in the other, the good guys get beat down choked out and left for dead with blood everywhere.
two completely different matches though both have gimmicks obviously but who gives a fuck gimmick matches are a draw.
both of them succeed as a wrestling match at a very high level, the highest, as being major attractions, selling tickets, crowd reception, storytelling, workrate, timing, everything else that is required to execute what is considered a "great" wrestling match. Because the people who paid their tickets were satisfied to the utmost, and the wrestling world was affected by the matches story and outcomes more so than most any other matches since, that have similar or greater hype/ticket sales associated to them.
most any other matches I've seen this year haven't been 5 stars to me personally.
Ospreay is not 5 star level because he has no crowd reactions or draw power or proper storytelling
