Hunter didn't want to loose Sam, given how super popular he was from the get go and bartered with Vince to not only use Dominic Dijakovic instead as T-Bar, but also tossed in Shane Thorne as well. And Slapjack was entirely a last minute character creation with his costume made by Thorne, hence why it looked nothing like the rest of Retribution's outfits; which were all Bane inspired.
