neither. Hogan was the top draw of the 80's and Austin was the top draw of the 90's, simple as that. Equals from different eras.

Austin by dollars, but they're different eras. Austin had 5 years on top drawing big numbers with PPVs 12 month a year, Hogan spent 9 years on top with 4 PPVs a year. I think if the business model was the same for both eras, Hogan probably would've drawn more money in the long run. as big as Austin was, Hulk Hogan was a cultural touchstone.

That’s why rock was buried two nights in a row after they bought WCW by Hunter,Austin, and Vince.
Rock didn’t care cause he was banking on himself in the entertainment sector, regardless of going out on his back.

It all worked out.
Rock is the biggest draw the wrestling industry has ever produced.

I have to disagree but only slightly. He's definitely one of the biggest, no doubt, but peak Austin was so over that people STILL go nuts for anything he does. No disrespect to the great one, though. I dont feel like being on the receiving end of a devastating rock bottom
