And at the end of the day, it doesn't fucking matter. If this were building to another episode of Phil getting his skull caved in, it'd probably work out great. But it's gonna die on the vine the second it starts getting built toward a fake fight. You can have this veil of uncertainty about whether things being said in interviews, on twitter and even live TV are real or fake, but in this day and age, you aren't going to get anyone to believe that a pro wrestling match is part of a real, legitimate blood feud. The second it goes to the ring now is where, in everyone's eyes, it's now fake and boring. It's like if two actors were feuding and they were gonna be in a movie together, everyone's gonna read the tabloids to get juicy tidbits about who said what and what happened, but no one's gonna give a single solitary fuck about their scripted fake fight scene in the fucking movie.
