The whole fiasco 8 years ago with him quitting WWE was a work and he was actually chosen to (if the need arose) latch onto a rising wrestling promotion like AEW under the guise of being a man deeply wronged that chose to return in that new promotion with his passion for the business reignited. In reality, his goal was to infiltrate AEW cause disruption, and sow malcontent all of which he has succeeded in, he was paid under the table for years until the WWE needed him. The truth is that Vince has always had measures in his backpocket to destroy any potential rival before they could even get to the point where they were a serious threat. CM Punk and Vince Mcmahon have fooled us all and I'm the only one who sees it apparently.
