I mean he was a pioneer for the indies being able to hustle with merch and shit and jumpstarted the wrestling podcast industry. Wrestling Road Diaries was dimes. I'm just baffled that people say he didn't do anything for the wrestling industry even Austin said he made his podcast because of Cabana's podcast.

yeah if anything he was a few years too early for the podcast boom, had done some good interviews but nobody really listened until the Punk one, years later and half the industry has their own podcasts. The Cliff Compton nigeria episode was an absolute classic.

He was unironically the best wrestling podcaster, he never interrupted his guest or go on a tangent about old times, he highlighted his guest and just shoot the shit. The only podcast like that was Talkin' Shop and a few Austin podcasts.

I assume his run was never meant to be anything more than another indy vet getting hooked up with some paydays at the end of his career, like Daniels and Kazarian. For all their faults I have to admit Omega and the Bucks were cool for doing that.

In case you haven't get it yet. Colt's well-liked not just in AEW but in wrestling as a whole. Austin like him and credits him for his podcast, Jericho like him, AJ likes him, 90% of the indies love the guy because he helped push PWTees and other avenues to make money in the indies when you're underpaid. He pretty much helped build the wrestling podcast scene with Art of Wrestling
