If Tony is so afraid of Malakai in WWE why doesn’t he just push him? If he thinks Black going to WWE would be a huge win for them why not just use him the way WWE would to maximize his investment? I truly don’t get it.

Unironically, trying to "control the narrative" that AEW is the best place to work. It's one thing for WWE talent to leave WWE and go to AEW to try it out. But how does it look when WWE talent wants to go BACK to WWE after being in AEW for a couple years?

Malakai doesn't want to be pushed, he just wants to be in WWE. He's a huge E-drone and he never wanted to be fired and was comfortable over there. He probably doesn't have anything bad to say about AEW but just prefers he was back where he was given how many years he's already dedicated over there.
