Otherwise he wouldn't be able to trust any of his successors who came after him. He most likely was trying to teach HHH & Steph a lesson in how to be a cutthroat business man who gets the job done no matter what the cost. Notice how Vince looks happy & healthy even after supposedly losing everything just because he dicked some whores (that's all female wrestlers are.). He doesn't seem to give a shit that he lost control of WWE. Then compare that to Punk, who always seems unhappy.
Look at how he sold out his own daughter, only to get kwabed a month later in retaliation.
I don't think he's anywhere near Punketty levels of kwab, because Vince didn't really lose anything. Punk did. He lost respect, he lost money, he lost prestige. After his AEW contract is up, the only company stupid enough to hire him again would be AEW.
