Even if Punk didn't have a torn tricep, you can't run a work unless the workers actually trust each other.

As of now, the blood between Punk and the Elite's so bad it's splitting the rest of the roster into camps. At least with the parties responsible out of his hair until the third-party investigation's over, Tony can come up with a proper long-term decision, like whether it's even best to bring Punk back at all. Hell, maybe if Punk and the Elite can bury the hatchet after a few months, they'll actually WANT to work together for everyone's benefit.

Even if he wasn't going to make a storyline out of it, at least allow the other talents like MJF, Caster and Pox to shoot on the incident. MJF didn't have anything to go on about and instead started praising WWE, he wouldn't have done that if Tiny just allowed him to shoot on CM Bunk.

1. Worked shoots don’t work. Even if the elite managed to not act like cartoons for the first time in their careers everyone is going to know it’s fake as soon as the match starts. And worked shoots just make the rest of the product look bad cause it’s all suppose to be a shoot so no part can be more shoot without the rest looking more fake.
