I can't totally begrudge him for wanting more. Being a bigger deal leads to more money and prestige. Punk's problem was that he was always aiming too high that he couldn't accept his ceiling.

Khan has been a mark for Moxley ever since Moxley was CZW champ back in 2009/2010. Plus Moxley was known as a work horse in the WWE. When Nick Gage shoot died at Tournament of Death 8, Moxley was the first one in there to try and fix the situation by fighting Thumbtack Jack in nothing but gym shorts and payless sneakers in a ring filled with glass and light tubes.
