My experience with Japanese wrestling was a failure. Granted I only watched one, but it was traumatizing. The match (Kobashi vs Misawa) gave me a headache. It's like watching a match between two CAWs.

They have more distinctive look, characters and are more charismatic. Also Mutoh, Hashimoto and Chono all have different wrestling styles and they mix sports-based wrestling with sports entertainment so they appeal to a wider audience.
