The fuck was Hogan supposed to do after Inoki started stiffing him? Keep trying to work a match and let the guy hit him with a bunch of shoot punches and hook a joint lock? Inoki had already had a few matches with big names where he very obviously went into business for himself and ambushed people in the ring, Hogan had a name to protect and getting humiliated in a double cross finish was not happening.
