>>7198562Former indie guy here that did jobs for WWE and TNA. Move stealing happens frequently and can be broken into two schools of thought
A) if you steal a move from a popular guy, say the Rock Bottom, the idea is you ask for the popular guy's permission beforehand. The majority of the 80s and 90s old-school western guys have this viewpoint since it's viewed as stealing.
B) some 90s and especially anyone brought up in the 00s don't view it as stealing but as honoring their idols. A comment that Kevin Owens made when he started using the stunner.
I would use the Rings of Saturn along with the Angle slam. I never could get in contact with Perry Saturn to ask for his permission but people I've worked with who knew him said that he wouldn't give a flying fuck. I kept the Rings of Saturn name out of respect to Perry. Angle, on the other hand, when I asked him during our TNA years, said that he didn't want me using his move for matches while we were in the same company. Outside of TNA, go nuts.
That's the biggest difference between Punk and most guys/girls. They either honor whoever started using the move originally. Or, they ask permission before. Punk, from my past interactions with the idiot. Would act as if he created the move and only make a passing remark about how Kenta showed it to him. Every move that Punk does is taken from someone else.
