Interestingly enough the single greatest piece of Onita theater doesn't actually come from an Onita match itself, or involve his usual outwardly expressive emotional breakdowns. In my opinion the greatest moment of Onita theater is from Megumi Kudo's retirement match. After the match Kudome was carried into the back on a stretcher while they waited for an ambulance to arrive to take her to the hospital. Onita storms into the room followed by Hayabusa and screams at all the onlookers to get out of his way. Then Onita grabs a bottle of water and begins to slowly pour it over her. Kudome is on the ground sobbing in pain from her burns and lacerations. She ask, pleads, with Onita to tell her the truth; Did she do well enough, was the audience happy, was it a good match, will people remember who she was and that she mattered. Hayabusa takes off his shirt hands it to Onita who soaks the shirt in water and uses it to dab at Kudo's burns, he quietly says that it is enough as tears stream down his face.
