>>7248352I go to the local indie maybe 6 times a year. Used to go more frequently before the pandemic but it got too expensive and the shows dipped in quality. The worst show I seen was a couple of years before the pandemic though. The local indie would usually do one major show a month accompanied by one or two lesser shows with a cheaper price point. Me and my friend had only ever gone to the main shows so we tried one of the cheaper ones and it was basically just 4 hours of jobbers practicing wrestling moves on eachother. There was no structure, no pacing and every match went on forever. It was pretty obvious after the first match that the whole show was an overblown training session for the younger wrestlers and yet the weird, culty marks that attend this particular indie were lapping it up. We left early.
The worst match I ever seen live was a women's 4 way with Veda Scott in it, who also happens to be the most abominably dogshit wrestler I have ever seen at a live show. She botched pretty much every move she tried to do and the only reason she got booked is because she's fucking Mike Bailey.
